Practical Tips & Tools:  IE Funders Alliance Changing the Narrative Campaign

Presented by: Frank Girardot,
Pegasus Communications & 20/20 Network

Join us to learn about the Funders Alliance's efforts to help us all change how we talk about the Inland Empire and the needs of our nonprofits.  With the goal of attracting more investment to the region, their year-long exploration process has culminated in messaging and a toolkit that can help YOUR nonprofit tell your story from a position of strength.

Session Outline:

  • Background — Why "Changing the Narrative"
  • The New Narrative — A sense of place: What Funders want to know about YOU
  • Telling YOUR Story: Impact, persuasion, social media, video, newspapers and editorials.
  • What's Next?

Frank C. Girardot is the former editor of the San Gabriel Valley Newspapers, and former managing editor for investigations for the Los Angeles News Group — now SCNG.

A bestselling author, Frank has written four true crime books and is on the board of the non-profit Justice for Homicide Victims.
