The California Wellness Foundation Advancing Wellness
Join Academy for Grassroots Organizations and The California Wellness Foundation for an in-depth discussion to better understand community foundations as a valuable resource. Topics will include: what is (and isn’t) fundable, the application process, and the awarding and administration of grant monies. Take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to interact with the foundation’s grant reviewer and learn about the foundation’s Advancing Wellness program’s four grantmaking portfolios: Bridging the Gaps in Access and Quality Care, Promoting Healthy and Safe Neighborhoods, Expanding Education and Employment Pathways, and Opportunity Fund.

Padmini Parthasarathy is a program director at The California Wellness Foundation where she currently
manages grantmaking related to advancing health care reform and the Affordable Care Act, and promoting
employment and asset‐building opportunities. Her responsibilities include reviewing letters of interest,
requesting and evaluating grant proposals, conducting site visits, making funding recommendations and
monitoring active grants.

Please note that MapQuest does not give the correct directions to this site ... Interstate 15, Exit "D Street/Highway 18 East" and travel East. Travel two miles through Victorville and up/down a short hill into Apple Valley. The first traffic light in Apple Valley will be Apple Valley Road. The facility is at the Northwest (left) side of the intersection of Apple Valley Road and Hwy. 18, behind the gas station, in the center of the strip mall. Parking is in the lot in front of the building. Please do not park in short-term spots or you will be towed. There are two Highway 18 exits. Make sure you take the one that says "D Street."
