GREAT Duck Race!

GREAT Duck Race! tickets are now available.  If you are a non profit and would like to sell tickets as a fund raiser for YOUR organization you can call me and I will issue them out to you.

This is how the fundraiser works:
You will get an envelope with tickets and a register sheet listing the numbers on the tickets.

Each time you sell a $20 ticket you log in the name of the person purchasing and their contact information on the line with their individual ticket number. 
 
For each $20 ticket your organization can keep $10 as a fundraiser.  You do not need to have any money up front and just need to return the unsold tickets and $10 for each sold ticket to VVCSC by September 11, 2013 so that we can include your ducks sold in the race.

That means for every 50 tickets you sell, your organization can raise $500 and you don't have to operate the event, come up with sponsors or anything else!  It will all be taken care of by us.

How the race works:

The Great Duck Race! is a race of rubber duckies that will happen on September 22 at Hesperia Days.  The duckies will go into the water at Hesperia Lake Park at 3 pm and make their way down stream.  Everyone is able to watch if they are attending Hesperia Days.  The first duckie to cross the finish line will win $1000.00!   The last place duckie (the one closest to the starting line) will win $250.00.  There will be chances for 10 duckies to win $25 if they get stuck in the marked resting spots along the way.  We have 6 vendor information spots reserved 9-21 & 9-22 (two are taken) at Hesperia Days for any non profit who has signed up to sell tickets.

You do not need to be present to win.  Last year's winner was a 7 year old little girl and she was not at the race.

If you don't want to sell for your non profit you can still purchase from VVCSC directly up until all are sold out.  We only have 800 tickets and duckies to sell, and when they are all sold that will be it.  All monies collected by VVCSC goes to help support our FREE programs for low income seniors in the High Desert.
