Second District Community Engagement Meeting

These Regional Community Engagement Meetings will provide a grass-roots forum for leaders to convene, identify problems, and collectively determine the best course of action to address the needs of the County's residents and specific communities.

There will be over two dozen discussion topics for an interactive conversation to garner your valuable input and set evidence-based goals and priorities for action to improve our community's health and well-being. These topics and data to be presented will include:

· Access to health professionals, delays in access to health care, health insurance coverage, source of health care

· Active transportation

· Breastfeeding, nutrition and access to healthy foods, obesity

· Cardiovascular disease, diabetes

· Community safety

· Educational attainment, high school graduation rate

· Homelessness, housing affordability

· Mental health, alcohol/tobacco/other drug use

· Poverty, unemployment
